A Few Folks From Mana Island
Paul and Karine Roland and Derrick
The first picture is of Karine and Paul. He is a physics professor and quite interesting. When Karine got back from her trip, she sent me a letter that told me she was looking for a job with British Airways as the travel perks were pretty nice. She also told me that Paul and her were getting married.

The other picture has Derrick on the left and Roland on the right. I remember that Derrick had four large tattoos on his arms. All of them celebrated Scotland and its heritage. One of them was about the Battle of Bannockburn, where the Scots won their freedom from the English and another said something like, "Scotland, Live Free Forever." There were no doubts where his loyalties lay. Roland and I shared something in common as he was a paraglider pilot. Not quite the same as hang gliding, but pretty close. Mana Island is a nice place, but it isn't the sort of place that I can sit for a week by myself and enjoy it. The people there were what made it such a good time.
