When the government built bridge washed away in a flood and never came to fix it, the people of Framin took things into their own hands and built a bridge of bush materials.  The river might not look that bad, but in flood stage, it's uncrossable.  That's Bruce crossing it.  Notice the simple bag he carries.  I have a backpack made of nylon, he carries a billum made of bush materials.  This bridge was impressive in it's simplicity and ingenuity.
