This is a picture of Dusky Sound from the top of the Pleasant Range.  This picture was taken on the previous tramp as I was unable to get a good picture of the sound this time and I didn't want to let you go without some idea what the sound looks from afar.  The fiord fuzzes out in the distance, but one can see it go quite far into the distance.  Dusky Sound goes about forty km. down to the sea.  This is one of the impressive sights that I have seen in all of my sad, ape-like life.
