Sand Patterns
Oyster Catchers
These patterns were formed by the water flowing down the beach into the ocean.  It's surprising that the smallest of seeps can form these patterns in the sand.  On some beaches, it's common to see this, on other beaches you can have the water seeping down but these patterns don't form.  Must be something in the sand that does it.  Either way, they're nice to see

Sand Patterns
These patterns were found on the second day.  They were close to the waters edge and were produced by the waves whereas the patterns above were created by water flowing down the beach to the ocean.  It's interesting that you can look at pictures of the Earth from space and you will often see very similar erosion patterns that encompass many kilometers and whereas what's pictured here might be a meter or two wide.

Sand Patterns

This was a sand pattern found at the edge of a stream that we crossed on the fourth day of the track.  The stream ran parallel to the shoreline and at the northern end of the beach turned into the ocean.  The whole stream had this nice pattern and I felt like a vandal leaving footprints.  I know that these will reform when the water rises, but it feels that way.
