This is a nice place for lunch.  It's about a four hour walk from the Thomson Hut and a beautiful place to relax.  Henry Saddle is on the left, just above Rugged Burn which passes through the lagoon.  The track, on its way to the pass, crosses just upstream of the lagoon.  The path to Thomson Hut follows the valley just to the right of center.  Note the slip down this valley.  This particular day, the lagoon seemed to be somewhat flooded, but so very placid and peaceful.

This picture was taken on the way to the sound.  I sat next to the lagoon eating my lunch and drinking water from this fine body of water.  One the way back returning from the sound, I sat next to the lagoon having an evening snack and drinking water from this fine body of water.
