The Wapiti River passes through a
narrow chasm
near the Thomson Hut. This day, the river was really flowing
and
its roar could be heard from far off on the track. This
picture
was taken from the bridge across the chasm. There used to be
a
three-wire (on which I probably wouldn't stop to take a picture), but
it was just about to collapse and was replaced by metal platform
bridge. Too fancy for my tastes, but that's what is there.
The
mists from the falls were rising all over and care had to be taken to
keep it off the camera lens. It's a pretty place.
