I don't need that much sleep and I frequently wake up at sunrise. I would go out when there was absolutely not a sound to be heard nd watch the sun begin the day. There was no breeze at this time in the morning and the water was totally still. When I walked out of my bure, this is exactly what I saw. There is a stereotype of what a South Pacific Island should be and truthfully, Kadavu Island fit that stereotype.
The water was warm and I went swimming. I walked up and down the beach looking at shells and the hermit crabs that made their homes nearby. Each morning a heron was out in the water trying to catch breakfast. In a few hours the people would get up and have their breakfasts. I really enjoyed the quiet mornings, but even at the middle of the day, the resort was wonderfully silent.
