This is hiking along the Spey on the last day.
Oh how energizing this was! It was raining but I managed a
picture. I felt strong and felt good. I felt like this was
as good as life gets. You can see the mountains are covered in
snow and certainly Centre Pass was snowy. In some ways, it was
good to be in the valley but I'm sure the pass was something to behold.
But no mind, Mr. Moose was in the valley and, sadly, making his
way to the end.
Thirteen years after tramping the track
for the first time, I went back and reworked the Dusky pages and added
this picture. As I write this, so many years later, their are
butterflies in my stomach remembering these days. The memories
are still powerful and as fresh as if they had just happened.
