The Northwest Circuit had very few people on it. There were plenty of beaches like this which had absolutely no one else on them. One of the most pleasant things about the island was the solitude of the shoreline. I often sat on the beaches and...well, I just sat. I don't know if the coast of Stewart Island was really that much nicer than many of the other places that I had seen, but as I write this and look back, that's what I remember.
