This tortoise was a pet at the place where I had a hut.  It's over a foot long and a woman would sometime carry him around holding him like a book.  It was a beautiful animal which is actually one of its problems.  It's an endangered species due to habitat loss, being used as food (EEEK!), and the pet trade.
