After following Katherine Creek, the track finally arrives at Lake Katherine.  The trail continued to follow the creek downstream to George Sound.  The track comes onto the left side of the lake and then continues on down the valley.  The steep rock faces under which I had to walk through the lake are just out of the picture on the left.  It's a pleasant lake surrounded by tall peaks and greenery.  It's a nice place to sit and ponder.
