Yours truly at the top. Not the best
picture in the world but it's the only one I have.
A view of the wonderful countryside of
Toscana. It's a land of endless rolling hills. Pleasing to the
eye and when you ride your bike too. Bike riding in is lots of
fun. If you look to the left of the picture, you can just make
out the snow on the Appenines.
Take a look how the entire city is made of red
stone. It's wonderful. If you get up in the early morning
before sunrise, go outside the city walls to the east and watch the
sunrise. If you get it just before and at sunrise the entire city
glows likes it's on fire in the rising sun. Wait a few minutes
after sunrise and while it's pretty, it's just kind of red stone.
So if you want the fiery red, get up early.
A nice view of Siena's cathedral. See the isolated wall to the left of the picture? That's the wall where
this picture
was taken. So getting a look at how big the cathedral is and the
size of the incomplete wall, imagine how big the cathedral would have
been had they completed it.
In the picture below, you can see the wonderful Tuscan countryside with
the Chiesa San Domenico in the center foreground and to the left is the
Chiesa di Santa Maria di Provenzano.
