It rained off and on during the
tramp across the Pleasant Range. The winds would blow the clouds across
the tops and sometimes I couldn't see a single thing. Though often
times the clouds were there just enough to give the ridges and lakes a
haunting look. Off in the distance, through the clouds, one could see a
whole mess of these lakes. It's nice to have sunshine but sometimes
it's nice to walk through the clouds.
The picture below is also typical of the Pleasant Range. There were
rocky outcrops scattered all around like the lakes were. Just beyond
this picture, the valley drops down steeply for a thousand meters.
