After the 1000 meter descent from the Pleasant
Range, the trail follows the Jane Burn for half a kilometer. That
section of trail is unbelievably beautiful with thick plants and mosses
everywhere. It's so, so green. This picture isn't a great
one for quality as it's a little blurry. Understand that the
light levels weren't that high and this was taken in a heavy rain.
It was the best that could be done under the circumstances.
However it does show how thick the greenery is and that is a lot
of what makes Fiordlands so outstanding.
