Nearing the end of the tramp from the sound, the
track climbs some switchbacks and returns back down to the river's
level and Loch Maree. The skies were still cloudy and some were
blowing down the valley. There were more stumps visible than the
previous day, which is a sign of the water getting lower. It's
still a 20 minute walk to the hut which is in the dead center of the
picture but is only a small dot in this picture (you can see many more
stumps in the water and the hut on the larger picture, click on this
picture to enlarge).
Periodically the clouds would clear on the mountains above revealing
extensive snowfall. It was nice to walk through the snows the
other day and it was nice to look up to it this day.
