This is the sight that greeted me the morning
when I had to decide whether to go to the sound or not. It was
raining off and on but the water level had lowered slightly from
yesterday. A few trees were visible in the water. If no
stumps are visible, that means the track is probably too flooded to
pass. I could see a few stumps, just barely, good enough!
On most days you can see hundreds of them, but not this day, that
water surface is smooth as can be.
The clouds often formed over the loch and would linger for a while and
then disappear, followed by another one doing the same thing a minute
later. I often sat and watched the mists come and go. It's
what passes for fun in the bush.
