There is a steep climb from the
floor of the
Seaforth Valley towards Centre Pass and then a second climb towards the
open tussock. In between these climbs is a moderate section
of
trail that is not
moderate in
beauty. The mossy gardens are all over this area.
Everything is absolutely covered in moss. When the
mosses
are dry, you can lie down on them and it's as comfortable as any bed
you've ever been on. It's so thick and so soft and it's
everywhere!
One time, on a different trail I was lying in the mosses and someone
disturbed me since I was lying so still they weren't sure I was still
alive. Actually, in places like this, I've never been more
alive.
