The previous day I stood high upon Mt. Memphis
and looked down towards the Spey Valley, the mountains surrounding the
valley, and all of Creation. Today, I was looking up towards all
of Creation. The Spey River is in the foreground and what a
pleasant river it is. Cool, clear, and delicious to drink from.
The tree covered mountains go up and eventually give way to the
rocky tops.
From the position where the picture was taken, you can only see one
side of the valley. Go into the middle of the river and the
mountains surround not only on two sides, but the valley goes down
towards Lake Manapouri and up to Centre Pass.
