The track followed the Spey River
most of the
day. Some parts of the river were over rocks and other parts
were
more placid, kinda like you see here. But the water levels
were
low this day and in all parts the flow was gentle. It's nice
to
see the rivers when they are high and flowing fast, but other times,
placid water is nice too.
At this river opening, I walked out into the river and stood waist-deep
in the waters and beheld the tall mountains all around. Also
leaned over and slurped up that nice, fresh water. When out
in
the river, you can see the mountains in all directions. The
track
follows the river downstream to the left. This is approaching
the
end of the track and while it saddened me to know that it would
eventually end, one can't help but be happy to be in such a place.
Geez, I'm nostalgic as I write this.
