Sometimes the track was 20 meters off the river
bank and other times if you tripped, you might just end up taking a
swim. Later in the track, I would hike along the Seaforth and
it's a moderate sized river and as one ascends higher up towards Centre
Pass, it turns into a mere trickle. Neither of these apply to the
river at this point. It's wide, deep, and flowing very fast.
Tripping into the river on this day would have been a one-way
ticket to misery. So as long as you stay out of water, it's
a pretty river to see.
