Looking south down the Spey Valley. The
beginning of the the day is on the east side of the river, but most of
the time it's on the west side nestled between the water and the steep
valley walls. Much of the time, the tree cover is so thick that
you don't realize what's above, but sometimes you get glimpses overhead
of the tall, near vertical walls.
At this point, the river looks almost non-existent but I walked over to
bank on the far side and the water was above my waist, but flowing
gently, so it wasn't a problem to cross.
