Katherine Creek begins in the tarns at Henry Saddle and flows into George Sound.  The creek steeply descends from the saddle and then levels out on a shelf before starting another steep descent that flows near the large slip down the valley.  Tramping on the shelf is so pleasant as you are accompanied by the creek and it's tributaries.  You walk along the stream, cross the stream, and even walk in the stream.  The waters are cool, delicious, and oh so clear.
