This is a view to the east of the valley from the slip.  Notice the jumble of irregular rocks that are tossed willy-nilly about the valley floor.  When first seen eight years ago, the rocks were jagged and bare.  Notice how much moss and lichen has started to grow upon them since then.  It's very interesting to see the progression of nature over time.

You can see the edge of the area with the dead trees in this picture and Henry Saddle is directly above the dead tree in the center.  From the saddle, the track descends steeply to the right side of the valley.  After this steep section, there is a flatter area where the track follows the streams just beyond the first hills in the picture.  The track comes to the edge of the hills, maybe 1/4 of the way from the right side of the picture and one can get good views down the valley.  Then the track steeply traverses ridge line from right to left to come upon the slip and valley floor.  From this point to the sea, the track descends the entire way, but most of the way (with exceptions) it's generally a constant descent to the fiord.  That's not to say it's gentle, just that it's not 250 meters in a 500 meter section type of descent.
