When I first saw the slip in the
Katherine
Valley eight years ago, it was a bare gash in the hillside.
This
time the slip has started to recover and turning green. This
shows just how it has started to regrow. Moss is covering the
rocks and the brush is coming back. Eventually, the trees
will
regrow and soil will cover up the spaces between the rocks and many
years from now, you'll probably not know there was ever a slip there.
The
slip must have changed the course of a stream as the trees in the
foreground on the right side in the foreground are all dead along the
banks of a muddy stream. Henry Saddle is dip in the mountains
between the tree sticking above the mountains.
