Most parts of the large slip in the Katherine Valley consists of large rock fragment that one must scramble across.  These irregular rocks are starting to get covered in mosses and lichens.  However, this section of the slip is different.  The rocks no longer have sharp edges but they don't have the vegetation growing on them.  This lack of plant life makes me wonder if this is a part that slipped a second time some years after the first landslide.
