At the end of the slip is a strange body of water.  It's a stream that is quite muddy.  The track has many areas of mud, but usually the streams themselves are quite clear.  Crossing this stream was a muddy mess.  The end of the slip is visible in the upper right and middle of the photo and the bizarre section of dead trees in on the banks of the stream in the center.  

The track goes from the bottom center of the picture, through the dead trees, then heads to the upper right and crosses the slip in an area off the right hand side of this photo.
